Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican holiday celebrated every May 5. In 1862, Mexico and France were at war, with the French invading Mexico. On May 5, 1862, the Mexican army defeated the French army in battle. Even though the Mexican army eventually lost to the French, this battle victory brought great pride and hope to the Mexican people. On May 9, 1862, Cinco de Mayo was declared a national holiday and it is still celebrated today.

Today, many Americans celebrate Cinco de Mayo by eating Mexican food and enjoying Mexican drinks. If you want to celebrate Cinco de Mayo safely this year, you can order a party package from Verde Kitchen & Cocktails. We have two packages available, a $50 pickup package and a $90 pickup package. The $50 package serves one to two people, while the $90 package serves three to five. Each package includes margaritas, guacamole, chips, rice and beans, tacos, and sweet plantains.

We also have an oaxacan market for you to take advantage of. You can order a grilled skirt steak, marinated chicken thighs, and roasted pork shoulder served with toasted garlic rice, charred scallions, roasted chiles, assorted salsas, avocados, fresh limes, chopped onion, and warm corn tortillas. For an extra fee, you can order chorizo or margaritas.
